Procedure

Apply Online

1. You can register to the JSWIFT system as an Individual by visiting the JSWIFT website:Link
2. On the website, click on “Register” at the top right corner in the information bar to go to the online registration form
3. Complete all the mandatory fields of the form and upload your valid government-issued ID that is well visible
4. Then complete the contact section and click on the “Add Contact” button to save your telephone number
5. Then read and agree to the terms and conditions by clicking to mark the checkbox under “I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions”
6. Check the “I’m not a robot” checkbox and follow the instructions to complete the human test once the human test is complete, click on “Submit” to be directed to the confirmation page to review your details
7. Go through the information you have provided and click on “Confirm Submission”
8. Upon confirming your submission, you will receive a pop-up notification informing you that your application is successfully submitted and you will be sent an email shortly
9. Your application will be reviewed by the JSWIFT responsible authority and if approved, you will be sent an email with your JSWIFT user name
10. Go to your email account and open the approval email form JSWIFT. Read the email with your user’s name and click on the “Create password” hyperlink to be directed to the JSWIFT password creation page
11. Enter your desired password and confirm the password and then click on “Create” if the password is strong and matching, you will receive a pop-up notification informing you that your password has been sent successfully and click on the “OK” button to go to the sign-in page
12. Enter your username and password to login into your JSWIFT account
13. Once you have login in your account, on the dash board, click on the dropbox “Permit” and select “New” to go to the General Information page and open the drop box under “Regime” and select import and click on next to complete the required general information and click on “Next” to go the Item Details page
14. Open the dropbox under “Process type” and select the import permit you wish to apply for in this case Import License for Electronic Goods
15. Proceed and complete all the required items details and click on “Next” to go to the Attachment page
16. Attach all the required necessary documents and click on “Next” to be directed to the fee page
17. View the total fees for your application and select verify and once the verification process is successful, click on “OK” and then click on “Submit”
18. Upon submitting you will receive a pop-up notification displaying your Application Registration and informing you that your permit application was submitted
19. Go to your account’s dashboard and select “Accounting” and then “Payment order” then “New” and complete the payment using the e-payment platform
20. Upon payment of your application, the permit will be processed and you will receive feed from the relevant officials online through your JSWIFT account and email address
21. If the permit is approved, print it and take it to the trade board limited for authentication
