Here's how you can apply for a petrol license in Isle of man:
- You will need to complete an application form. You can download a copy of the form online through Isle of Man Government Website (a link is provided under 'Documents to Use' section).
- Provide all the required information:
- Full name of sole trader. If a Firm, the name of each partner in full. If a Company, the name of the Company and its Secretary
- Trading Address and contact telephone number
- Quantity of petrol products
- Prepare all the documents you will be submitting together with your application form.
- Submit all your documents to the Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading.
- Pay the licence cost. Cheques payable to "Isle of Man Government."

It is unlawful to store over 10 litres of petrol without a licence in Isle of man
If you are a sole trader, a firm or a company you will need to apply for a licence.
The rule applies wherever petrol is stored including:
- in your home, in your garage
- in a workshop
- at motorsport events
FeesEdit
Cost of licence:
- To keep petroleum spirit in a quantity not exceeding 2,500 litres: Licence cost £45 (up to 12 months)
- To keep petroleum spirit in a quantity exceeding 2,500 litres but not exceeding 50,000 litres: Licence cost £87.50 (up to 12 months)
- To keep petroleum spirit in a quantity exceeding 50,000 litres: Licence cost £175 (up to 12 months)
Cheques payable to "Isle of Man Government"
