Apply In-Person:
- To apply for Tank Registration Certificate in person, the applicant has to visitthe Nova Scotia Environment Office nearest to their location.

- Visit the office and obtain application for Tank Registration Certificate from the respective department. Or click here to download Application form
- While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to complete the application with required details in respective fields under each section and submit it to the official with the required documents.
- The official will direct the applicant to pay the fees required for the certificate. Pay the required fees through any of the available modes.
- Fees details can be found in the “Fees” section of this page.
- After successful payment, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
- Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect theTank Registration Certificate.

- For a new tank installation, tanks owners must submit a Petroleum Storage Tank Notification form at least three working days before installation begins.
- The application form should be completed by the certified installer.
- The applicants should complete the application form with all mandatory details provided with absolute legibility.
- The applicants are advised to attach all the required documents without any insufficiency, to avoid rejections and delay in processing.
