Procedure

To apply for the sale of organic fertilizer license the applicant must follow the below procedure.
Apply In-Person

1. Applicant in order to get the license to sell Organic Fertilizer/Bio Fertilizer shall contact the respective district agricultural office (DAO) in case of District & SDAO in case of Sub-Division in person and apply.
2. Applicant has to get the letter head for the firm and should get required documents as per our page.
3. The contact details are available in the Office Location & Contacts section below.
4. Please collect the appropriate application form from the respective office.
5. Submit the completed application form along with required documents as mentioned in our Required Documents section below.
6. After accepting the application and verifying the same, officials will advise the amount to be remitted as per the mode (treasury challan or as per acceptable norms).
7. Applicant after remitting the mentioned amount should provide the proof of payment (receipt or challan) to the department authority for processing.
8. Applicant will get intimation for inspection of premises.
9. The fertilizer inspector will enter upon and search any premises where the fertilizer is exhibited for sale
10. Once all the results are satisfactory the license is granted by the officials, applicant gets intimation to collect the license.
11. On the said date, applicant can collect the license as per deliverable norms.
    

Apply Online:

1. To Obtain a License or Permit for Selling (Marketing) Organic Fertilizer or Bio Fertilizer, the applicant shall visit the website in the link provided:Link
2. The applicant shall log in through the web portal mentioned under the "Login" option and “Submit” to provide the required information for the process.
3. After login, the applicant shall choose an appropriate option to obtain the permit and proceed further.
4. The applicant shall fill up the application form with all the necessary details on a newly opened page and complete the given application form.
5. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" for further processing.
6. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
7. Now click on "Submit" and complete the process.
8. On successful verification, the permit will be issued by the authority.
9. Obtain the permit from the concerned office or the portal.

Apply through Centres:

1. To Obtain License or Permit for Selling (Marketing) Organic Fertilizer or Bio Fertilizer, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.

Eligibility

• Any person desiring to sell organic/ Bio fertilizers
• Before granting the license, inspection of the unit is carried out to know the infrastructure in the factory premises and whether the applicant qualifies to get the license as appropriate.
• Education criteria related information for eligibility can be obtained from authorities.
• As per the government direction, traders who want to obtain license to sell fertilizers must have a degree in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Botany or Zoology.
  

Fees

As the fees structure varies from state to state, licensing officer whom applicant applies with will provide fee details.

Validity

A license granted under insecticides (Amendment) Act, shall be valid for the period specified therein, May be renewed from time to time for such period and on payment of such fee as may be prescribed. This license is valid for a period of 3 years from the date of issue.
