- To Renew a Real Estate License, the applicant has to approach the Canadian Real Estate Association link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Ensure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- In most provinces, the applicant will be required to pass a licensing examination administered by the regulatory body. The exam typically assesses your knowledge of real estate practices, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- Some regulatory authorities may have additional requirements for license renewal, such as undergoing a criminal background check, providing proof of errors and omissions insurance, or completing specific assessments or examinations.
- Verify if there are any additional requirements and fulfill them accordingly.
- If everything is in order, your Real Estate License will be renewed, and you will receive confirmation of the renewal.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 – 20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
