Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. A person desirous of making a complaint about water quality in Chhattisgarh must visit the Environment Conservation Board office. Click on the following link to find the address of regional offices: Link
2. Write down the complaint in a detailed manner on white paper. Fill in your name, contact details, address and duration of issue. Attach documents or pictures of proof, if any.
3. Submit the letter to the pollution control officer.
4. The officer will issue a receipt for further reference along with a “Grievance id”.
5. No fee is required for this procedure.
6. The time limit for each complaint varies according to the credibility and importance of the complaint.
7. To track your complaint status, visit the Environment Conservation Board website: Link.
8. On the homepage, click on the “Complaints” option in the menu. Then, on the next page, click on the “Click Here for search the status of Grievance / Suggestion” option.
9. On the next page, enter the “Grievance Id” and click the “Search” button.
10. Any step taken towards the complaint will be notified through email/SMS/Letter.
    

Apply Online:

3. On the next page, fill in the application form. Enter your name, contact details, and select “Pollution Category” and “District.”
4. Enter the complaint details in the “Description” box and upload any relevant document by clicking on the “Choose File” button.
5. Click on the “Generate OTP” button now and enter the OTP sent to the mobile number you provided in the form.
6. Click on the “Submit” button once every detail is filled and uploaded.
7. After the successful submission of the application, a “Grievance Id” will be generated.
8. Revisit the Environment Conservation Board website: Link.
9. On the homepage, click on the “Complaints” option in the menu. Then, on the next page, click on the “Click Here for search the status of Grievance / Suggestion” option.
10. On the next page, enter the “Grievance Id” and click the “Search” button.
11. Any step taken towards the complaint will be notified through email/SMS/Letter.
    

Apply through Centres:

1. To Complaint about the Quality of Water (Industrial), the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
2. Procure the application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the process.
3. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
4. Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
5. Now submit the application to the office of the concerned centre.
6. On successful verification, the applicant will be notified by the CSC centre.
