ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To obtain Commercial Vehicle Registration in person, the applicant has to visit any nearest Manitoba Public Insurance Service Centre/Vehicle Safety (repairer/dealer vehicles) or Autopac agent (Commercial trucks/Regulated passenger vehicles).
  2. Autopac agents and MPI Service Centres nearest to the applicant’s location can be found using the following Locator link

  4. While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The agent/official in-charge will direct the applicant to complete the form required to be completed, with respect to the status of the vehicle.
  6. The applicant has to complete the form with required details under the respective sections and attest it with their signature.
  7. Then, all the required documents should be attached with the completed forms.
  8. While submitting the application form and required documents to the official, the applicant has to make the fees payment through any available mode.
  9. The agent/official in-charge will inform the applicant about the fees required.
  10. After submitting the application package, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
  11. Processing of the application and assessment of the submitted information takes place for a time period of six to eight weeks.
  12. Upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the Registration Certificate.

EligibilityEdit

  • Commercial trucks, limited-use trucks, semi-trailers, dealer/repairer vehicles and regulated passenger vehicles are eligible for the registration.
  • The applicant must be at least 18 years old and applicants below the age limit can apply by providing a written consent from their parent/guardian.
