Apply Online
- The applicant can apply for a birth certificate through the Manitoba Vital Statistics website, using the following Link.
- Select type of certificate, in this case, it will be “Birth” and click on “Next”.
- Enter birth details such as surname, given name, sex and so on.
- After entering all details click on “Next”.
- Select the kind of birth certificate as well as how many certificates the applicant wants. (Such as birth certificate with parent’s name or without).
- Click on “Next”, the applicant will be prompted to enter more details such as an address, and applicants’ information.
- Click on “Submit”, the applicant will be directed to a payment page.
- Make the payment and checkout.
- The applicant shall receive their certificate by mail within 6 to 8 weeks from the date of submission of the application.

- Download and fill the application form with relevant details, use the following link to the application form Application.
- Send the application form by mail or courier to the following address: Government of Manitoba Vital Statistics Branch 254 Portage Avenue Winnipeg MB R3C 0B6
- The applicant will have to pay the fee, the details should be entered in the application form.
- The applicant shall receive their birth certificate by mail within 6 to 8 weeks from the submission of the application.

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant must be at least 13 years old to apply.
- The person should have been born in Canada and have their birth registered.
- The applicant should have had their birth registered in Quebec.
FeesEdit
- The applicant will have to pay a fee of 30$ for each birth certificate ordered.
ValidityEdit
- A birth certificate is valid forever and does not need to be renewed.
