ProcedureEdit

  1. To get married in Cte dIvoire, applicants will need to file an application to get married at their local Town Hall.
  2. Applicants will need to submit these documents:
    1. An extract of birth certificate or supplementary judgment (document must not more than 3 months old)
    2. Certificate of residence (document must not more than 6 months old) for each spouse with the mention for the purpose of marriage
    3. Photocopy of the applicants' identity document (CNI or identity document)
    4. Photocopy of the witnesses (CNI, passport or driving license)
    5. For minor spouses: If they are under 20 years of age (male) and under 18 years of age (female): a copy of the age waiver granted by the Public Prosecutor.
      If they are both under the age of 21: the consent of the authorized persons (father, mother, legal guardian) is received by the registrar through the administrative channel.
      For the guardian add the guardianship judgment.
    6. Widowed spouse: extract of the death certificate of the deceased spouse or supplementary judgment of death.
    7. Divorced Spouse: extract or copy of the birth certificate or the supplementary judgment bearing the reference to the divorce decree with a certificate of non-opposition and non-appeal issued by the clerk.
    8. Foreign spouses: Extract of birth certificate, certificate of marital capacity, photocopy of the valid residence permit or visa page, certificate or certificate of residence or any other document attesting residence dating less than six months and photocopy of the consular card, the identity card or the passport.
  3. Pay the application fee.
