Apply In Person
- To Apply for Chiropractor License, the applicant has to approach the respective College and the Association of Chiropractors.
- Ensure that the applicant has completed an accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Depending on the province or territory, the applicant may be required to pass a licensing examination to demonstrate his/her competency as a chiropractor. The specific examination requirements and process can vary, so check with the regulatory body for the details.
- The applicant may need to undergo a criminal record check to ensure the applicant has no disqualifying convictions. The regulatory body will provide instructions on how to complete this process.
- Then the application will be processed further.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive his/her chiropractor license. This will allow him/her to practice legally within the province or territory where he/she obtained the license.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 – 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
