Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Phytosanitary Certificate, Applicant shall approach the Department of Plant Protection Sanitary and Phytosanitary (DPPSP). Contact details are listed below under the “office locations and contacts” section.
2. You have to submit an Application form to the Department of Plant Protection Sanitary and Phytosanitary (DPPSP)
3. Application form can be found on the following link: Link
4. Download the application form and fill up your details.
5. Please make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the Required Document” section of this page.
6. The applicant shall present the duly filled application form and documents to the DPPSP.
7. After the application is processed and registered, The DPPSP Inspector visits the Applicant’s premises and inspects the shipment destined for export.
8. Once the inspection yields satisfactory results, The DPPSP issues a Phytosanitary Certificate.
9. Applicant has to collect the Phytosanitary Certificate from the DPPSP

No fees are charged for issue of the Phytosanitary Certificate

Validity

The Certificate is valid per shipment or consignment. A new shipment requires a new Phytosanitary Certificate
