Apply In-Person:

  1. To Obtain an Employment Authorization Document (Work Permit) in Texas, the applicant has to approach the U.S Citizen and Immigration service link
  2. The applicant has to get the form from the respective department or use the following link to download the form link
  3. Applicant has to fill in necessary details in the application form.
  4. The Applicant should make sure to carry all the documents that are mentioned under the “Required Documents” section of this page (Both photocopies and originals).
  5. Applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the form and attach the photocopies of the documents that are needed along with the application form before submitting.
  6. Once completed, the applicant should submit the Form to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  7. Fee payment details are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. Concerned authorities will look into the application form and the document.
  9. Approval will be provided within one month.
  10. If the approval has not been given within one month, the applicant can visit the office to know the status of their application.

  2. The applicant has to sign-in, if new to user click the “Create an account” to login.
  3. Review Terms of Use - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Online Electronic Immigration System and click “I Agree.”
  4. Create a password and click “Submit.”
  5. Choose how the applicant want to receive a verification code (such as text, email, or authentication app) and click “Submit.”
  6. Enter this verification code and click “Submit.”
  7. When create an account, you will also receive a two-step verification backup code. Print or save a copy of this code and keep it in a safe place. Click “Proceed.”
  8. The applicant should Select password reset questions and answers.
  9. Under Account Type, select “I am an applicant, petitioner, or requestor” OR “I am a legal representative” and click “Submit”.
  10. Receive confirmation that the applicant has created a USCIS online account.
  11. Then the needs to Add paper-filed applications in the account.
  12. Now the applicant need to fill the application form with the necessary details.
  13. Make an online payment and click “Submit” button.
