Greece - Apply for a Culture Card

ProcedureEdit

  1. Visit a KEP office of your choice to apply for a Culture Card.
  2. Complete an application and submit it along with your supporting documents.
  3. A KEP employee will check your documents and inform you if there are any missing documents which prevents your application from being processed further.
  4. The employee will fill in the electronic Application and creates a new folder in the KEP Information System. You will receive the request submission certificate that shows the request file number.
  5. Your application along with all supporting documents will be reviewed by the Competent Entity. Once your approved the Hellenic Culture Organizationa a card will be issued to you which you will receive by mail, without further mediation of KEP, in 10-15 days maximum.
Note: Any supporting documents for the issuance of Culture Card will be sent to Hellenic Culture Organization (address on the 'Contacts' section)

Required DocumentsEdit

General Requirements:

  • Completed application form, the form can be obtained from a KEP office.
  • Certificate or identity card proving the Greek national origin
  • Recent photo of the applicant


Specific Documents:

  • Certificate of the Association to which the applicant belongs (for Greek Resistance Fighters)
  • Certificate of the body (for special social groups)
  • Copy of the unemployment card renewed for a year on a continual basis (for long-term unemployed of OAED)
  • Decision on Children Custody (in the case of divorce) (for divorced, widows or widowers)
  • Disability certificate (medical opinion with the disability percentage or card of the Ministry of Health) (for disabled persons)
  • Member card (for the members of the Open Care Centre for the Elderly, of the "Friendship Clubs" of the Municipality of Athens, of the Charitable Organisation Korinthian Solidarity and the spouses of the members of the Open Care Centre for the Elderly)
  • Repatriation certificate (for repatriated persons) Alternatively the certificate of the competent authority on the granting of Greek nationality, is presented
  • Validated pass for families with many children Failing such a pass a certificate is presented by the Association of Families with Many Children.


Official supporting documents:

  • Copy of Death Certificate (In the case of widows - widowers)
  • Marital status certificate (for parents and children of families with three children up to the 18th year of age or if studying up to the 24th year of age and if disabled regardless of age)

Culture Cards are being issued by the Hellenic Culture Organization.

The aim of the Hellenic Culture Organization is to present and promote the cultural heritage and the cultural power of the country, as well as the organisation and the promotion of Cultural Olympic Games within the frame of the relevant policy defined by the Ministry of Culture.
