Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Renewal of Radio and Television License in Ghana, the applicant must visit the National Communication Authority or Ministry of Communications.
2. Information related to the MOC office and the License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
3. Contact link.
4. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant authority.
5. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
6. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
7. Also, pay the required fees for the renewal of license as directed by the officials and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. Complete the application form with all the required details and the information in the respective spaces provided.
9. After completing, submit the application form to the relevant authority at the office.
10. After submission, the completed form and corresponding documents will be put into further verification and validation processes.
11. Once all the processes got completed, the authorities will make necessary steps for the renewed license issuance process.
12. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 60 working days.

Eligibility

• Any Radio and Television license holder in Ghana, whose license validity period has come to an end, should apply.

Fees

• Application fee for this procedure is $100.

Validity

• The license is valid for 15 years and renewable thereafter.
