Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Annual Import Cleaning Permit in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Ghana Revenue Authority Office.

3. Applicant must obtain the application form from GRA office.
4. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form before submitting it.
5. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Applicant should make sure to attach photocopies of necessary documents along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
9. The licensing officer may, in his discretion, issue or refuse to issue the annual import cleaning permit /license.
10. Upon successful review of the application the licensing officer will issue the import permit detailing the conditions for importation of the clinical substances.
11. The processing time of the application is within 14 days of receiving a complete application.
12. The applicant will be contacted to collect the permit by the EPA licensing officer.
13. The applicant has to provide proof of identification when collecting the license.

• A fee for this procedure is GHS.150, 000.

Instructions

• The application shall be in the prescribed form and the applicant shall indicate the purpose for which the controlled substance is required.
• An application to import a controlled substance shall be made to the Authority in the prescribed Form and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee.
• Upon the application for a license, the Authority may grant the license unconditionally, impose conditions on the permit or refuse to grant the permit.
• A permit issued under these Regulations shall relate only to the specific activity for which it was issued and shall not be transferable.

Need for the Document

• The holder of the permit is permitted to import cleaning into Ghana.
