Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for Tourist Visa in Ghana is available in the Ghana Immigration office contact link
2. Then, the applicant must obtain the application form for transit visa.
3. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
4. Process all documents required for a transit visa in Ghana. Make sure the visa and ticket to continue to another destination are also processed.
5. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents are necessary for completing this procedure.
6. Please refer to the fees details in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. Completed application forms submit to the Ghana immigration office.
8. If application form is verified, the notification regarding from visa will be sent to the applicant.
9. Then, the applicant after seeing this notification, the applicant must go to the respective office and get their visa.
10. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is one month.

• Identification documents (Identity card, Birth Certificate, or passport)
• Valid passport(for you and whoever is traveling with you)
• Health Certificate (for you and whoever is traveling with you)
• Two (2) recent passport-size photos
• Invitation letter from family / friend in Cameroon
• Flight itinerary / return air ticket
• Copy of identification documents,
• Letter of consent from the parent, and a copy of parent`s photo ID (for children under 18 years).
• Proof of sufficient funds (Recent bank statement)
• Marriage certificate (if you are travelling with spouse)
• Proof of relationship with dependants (if any)

For citizens of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Gratis fees are:

• Single Entry Visa $60.00(must be used within 3 months from date of issue)
• Multiple Entry Visa $100.00
• Single Expedited $100.00
• Multiple Visa Expedited $200.00

• Consulate fee $ 65.00
• Service fee is $ 79.00
• Typical fedex fee $ 30.00 for FedEx Service.
• Tourist emergency consulate fee $ 105
• Tourist multi entry rush consulate fee $ 205
• Tourist multiple entry Consulate fee $ 105
• Tourist rush Consulate fee $ 105

Validity

• Two (2) months or 60 days
• Three (3) months / Ninety (90) days (for citizens of the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS)

Need for the Document

• A tourist visa in Ghana is also referred to as the Ghana B2. It is issued to foreigners wishing to travel to the country for a short period of time for purposes of tour, holidays or visiting family and friends.
• The Immigration Service is the authorized agency responsible issuance of Ghanaian visas to foreign nationals who wish to visit Ghana; outside Ghana the embassies, consulate offices and high commissions are the only authorized agencies responsible for issuing Ghana visas.

Information which might help

• Citizens and Nationals of Zimbabwe, Singapore, and Trinidad and Tobago do not require visa to enter Ghana.
• Nationals of Malawi, Lesotho and Egypt are entitled to Gratis Visas issued at Ghana Foreign Mission

Other uses of the Document/Certificate

• The holder is allowed to move free in the country;
• With visitors coming to the country, the country earns additional revenue;
• It allows and strengthens friends with countries from which tourists / visitors are nationals.
