Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for a Aerial Dispersal License in person, the applicant has to approach the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) office. Contact link
- Then, the applicant can get their application form from the EPA office.
- Read through the application form carefully as it contains different section.
- Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per as authority’s request.
- Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the EPA office for verification and processing.
- Applicant will be issued with the prescribed fee invoice, visit any ECOBANK branch near you with the invoice and make the payment.
- The EPA will dispatch an inspector to the facility premises for inspection to determine if Good Disposal Practice (GDP) and Good Transportation Practice (GTP) during storage and dispatch and disposal of product is practise.
- A copy of the report finding will be given to the applicant and if any modification or upgrading is required, Corrective Action and Preventive Action Report (CAPA) report will be issued and you will be required rectify the problem.
- Upon successful implementation of the CAPA, a follow-up inspection may be conducted by the inspection team to ascertain the effectiveness of the implementation (where applicable).
- If the authorized official is satisfied that all the conditions are meet as required for the application, applicant will be notified of the outcome and issued with the permit/license.
- Generally, the processing time for this procedure is taken 1 month.
- Note: All fees charged are payable at any ECOBANK Ghana Branch by presenting the invoice issued by the Agency to the bank.

- All required document should submitted in English and must be legibly printed and not hand written.
- Where originals (documents) are in another language, copies should be presented together with certified English translations.
- To maintain your license status, the facility shall be inspected annually to ensure that the facility remains in compliance with the license requirements.

- Pesticides and schedule of dispersal operation (i.e. Type of pesticide, trademark, common name, formulation type)
- Rate of dispersal per hectare
- Provide the location where the aircraft mixing/loading will be conducted
- Personal protective equipment
- Pesticides Storage Conditions
- Method of Disposal of Empty Containers and Unused Pesticides and reinstate
- Emergency response Plan/ measures to mitigate impacts such as accidents, spillages, contamination etc. both on and off-site.
- Identify likely negative environmental impact associated with aerial spray and how to mitigate them
- Declaration by applicant
Need for the DocumentEdit
- No aerial dispersal (spraying) may take place within the territory of the Republic of Ghana unless the target site is subject to a current and valid aerial dispersal permit approval issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
