Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for renewal for Coffee Miller License in Ethiopia the person should visit Ministry of Trade and Industry contact link
2. There you will be issued with renewal application form from the authority.
3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach the photocopies along with the application.
6. Submit the completed application form along with the required documents and pay the required application fee of and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
7. This is followed by an inspection of applicants by the Board Field Officers.
8. The Board field officers will inspect the application, make recommendations on the application and forward their report forwarded to Board’s Headquarters for the ultimate Board approval.
9. Upon a successful issuance of license, the Applicant is notified and he/she will be required to pay the respective license fee to the board and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
10. Once the processing is done the Coffee miller license is issued to the applicant of license by the Managing Director.

Required Documents

• A certified copy of certificate of incorporation.
• A certified copy of memorandum and articles of association.
• Names of company directors, individual National ID/Passport No, Pin Numbers and certificate of good conduct.
• Names and addresses of two business referees.
• Tax compliance certificate from Ethiopia Revenue Authority for the Company and Directors.
• Clearance letter from the Coffee Exchange
• Proof of engaging the services of a coffee liquored registered by the Directorate.
• Undertaking to furnish the Directorate with monthly returns.
• Any other requirements that may be prescribed by the Directorate from time to time.
• If applicant is a registered business, the certificate of registration and particulars of the proprietors.
• A statement of the un-audited accounts for the period of accounting year ending not earlier than six months prior to the date of application and audited annual accounts for the preceding two years (in the case of application of licence), management accounts up to the 30th November and audited annual accounts for the preceding year (in the case of renewal of licence)

• Any person, cooperative society, group or company who wants to erect/operate a coffee milling plant in Ethiopia can make this application.

Fees

• Renewal for application fee is 500birr.

Validity

• The license is valid for the period of one year.

Need for the Document

• A Coffee miller license authorizes to erect/operate a coffee milling plant.
