Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Applicant has to submit an application addressed to the Licensing Authority of the concerned municipal corporation/municipality where the business is proposed.

3. Go to the respective office.
4. Meet the respective authority at the licensing department of the Municipal Corporation / Municipality office. The applicant shall get the advice from the authority to be followed to apply for the respective trade.
5. Collect the applicable application form or write on plain A4 paper as per advice.
6. Submit the completed application form along with the required document as per our page.
7. Authorities will check the submitted application and announce the fees/charges. Please pay and get the receipt.
8. This application will be moved to the respective authority of the Zone for field verification of the site.
9. After field verification, the authority will submit a verification report before the trade license committee.
10. If the Trade license committee observes that all norms are complied with by the applicant, authorities will issue an order to make applicable payment.
11. Applicant shall make the payment as advised.
12. After all the above steps, the applicant gets a notification from the department. Please follow the notification to get the license.
13. If the Trade license committee observes that all norms are not complied with by the applicant, the application by rejected.

Note:

1. It is advised to submit an additional set of copies of the documents and get countersigned for your safety while applying with the government department.
2. Visit your nearest or a running trade-in your region and consult with them for any latest update requirements.

Apply Online:

1. Visit the following portal: link.
2. Click on “Register” and provide name and number.
3. An OTP will be sent and once it is verified the applicant is registered.
4. Login with the registered number and OTP sent again.
5. The applicant has to click on the “Trade License” button present on the Home page.
6. Once the applicant clicks on the “Apply” button, a form will be displayed which will include all the details related to Trade for which the citizen needs the License.
7. Once the Trade Details are entered, the applicant has to enter the Owner Details and click on the “Next Step” button.
8. Here the applicant has to enter the details about the owner who is related to the Trade.
9. Once the applicant has entered Trade Owner Details, the next step is to upload relevant documents related to Trade.
10. Uploaded documents will be displayed with a green checkmark signifying the document has been uploaded successfully.
11. On successful submission of the application, users can: Download Confirmation Form and Print Confirmation Form.
12. The applicant has to make payment of License fees once the application is approved by the Commissioner. The applicant will be notified once the application is approved.
13. Payment confirmation page will be displayed on successful payment.
14. The applicant can download as well as print the TL Certificate and Receipt.
15. Follow the notification address to get the license in a stipulated period of time.

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
4. The operator will process the application online.
5. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
6. An inspection will be held to check the premises.
7. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
8. If verified, the license will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying in a stipulated period of time.

Eligibility
