Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Payment of Telephone bills can be done by visiting the Ethio Telecom office in Ethiopia contact link
2. The customer must provide their telephone bills at the counter.
3. The customer must carry related documents that are necessary for the payment process (both photocopies and originals).
4. Documents that are needed for the process to complete are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Bill amount has to be paid as per the bill states.
6. The procedure gets completed within minutes right after the payment is done.
7. Customer must get a receipt for their bill payment from the counter. The receipt acts as a proof for payment of the telephone bill.
   

Apply Online

1. Payment of telephone bill can be done online by using tele birr. Following is the link of the tele birr website application link
2. The customer can choose the mode of payment from the website as per their convenience.
3. The customer has to enter their bill number or subscribed telephone number in the website for paying their bills.
4. If the customer chose to pay prepaid bills, there are options available in the following website link
5. Various package is available under the “Product and Services” tab of the website for the customer to choose from.
6. Once the payment is done, the customers get a softcopy of their bill payment in their E-mail or get a “recharge successful” message on their registered mobile number.
7. The process gets over almost immediately.

Eligibility

• Customer must be above 18 years of age.
• Customer must own a business, building, land or own an agreement.
  

Fees

• CDMA home SIM Card for phone costs 85 Birr.
• CDMA without combined voice and internet costs 230 Birr.
• GSM SIM Card costs 45 Birr for Mobile phone.
• 3G SIM Card costs 250 Birr for Mobile phones.
  

Validity

Bills are mostly valid for one month. However, if the customer chose yearly, quarterly or half-yearly plans then the bills differ depending on the plan chosen by the customer.
