Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for dissolution of any Non-Governmental Organization in Ethiopia is provided by the Federal High Court of Ethiopia contact link
2. Board of Directors of the NGO, must gather together to carry out a meeting and take a few minutes for dissolving the organization.
3. NGO must provide an official announcement in any local newspapers for the public to know that their organization is going to be dissolute.
4. Applicant must enter all necessary information in the application form.
5. Applicant should state a valid reason for dissolution of the organization.
6. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents that are needed for completing the procedure.
7. Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
8. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as instructed by concerned authorities.
9. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, dissolution document will be provided within 90 days.
10. Applicant can get their document by visiting the office or via post.
11. If the process is delayed even after 90 days, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.
