Apply In-Person:

  1. Land ownership search can be done at the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development, Ethiopia contact link
  2. Application form for Land Ownership Search is provided at the Ministry, in which the applicant has to provide all details of the land for easing the searching procedure.
  3. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all necessary documents for completing this procedure.
  4. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form before submitting it at the office.
  6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
  7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the land search will be done within 3 days.
  8. Applicant can receive the land ownership proof document by visiting the office after getting a notification from the office.
  9. If there is no information provided, the applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.
