Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application for representative offices of Foreign Banks in Ethiopia is available in the National Bank Of Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant has to provide all information in the application form.
3. Applicant must make sure to carry all documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must have both photocopies and originals of the required documents.
5. Applicant must attach photocopies of documents (whichever is required) along with the application form while submitting.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, applicant can get their document within one month by visiting the bank.
8. If the application is rejected, the applicant has to undergo the application procedure from the beginning.
