Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Renew a car license in person, the applicant has to approach the nearest traffic unit Contact link
2. Also make sure you have all the necessary documents that have been listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. The applicant must get the paper folder wherein you shall keep all papers that will be handed to you during your license procedures.
4. The applicant is required to pay the obligatory insurance fee.
5. Later, go to the post office at the traffic unit to get the license form, which you should fill in, before going to the checking unit where you will get the car’s chassis and motor number inspected.
6. Then, go to the police officer at the same Traffic Unit, not far from the technical checking unit, to sign the license papers you bought prior to having your car inspected.
7. Go to the check-in unit where the technician will inspect the car’s chassis and motor number and sign the paper.
8. Go to one of the traffic unit employees (at one of the many windows you’d find there) and hand him/her the folder with all the papers you have acquired, and you will be given a paper to pay car tax (also depending on the engine cc/power and manufacturing model)
9. Once you’ve paid the car tax, the applicant will have to hand the entire folder) now full of papers) to one of the Traffic employees, who shall fill in the rest of your personal information and ask you to wait till your license card is out.
10. Time limit for renewal of the Registration Certificate is 3 Days.

Need for the Document

• The owner of the Non-transport vehicle can apply for renewal of the Registration Certificate after Completion of 15 years from the date of original registration. The registration should be renewed prior to 60 days (about 2 months) of the expiry of the registration.
