Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Radiation Devices Or Radioactive Materials Installation, Servicing Or Maintenance Licence in person, the applicant has to approach the Egypt Radio and Television Union (ERTU).
2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
3. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
4. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
8. Submit the completed form in two copies along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
9. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the ERTU.
10. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
11. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
12. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
13. The Processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

Eligibility

• No person is allowed to install service or maintain radiation devices or radioactive materials unless he/she is in possession of a valid license issued by the radiation protection board.

Fees

• Application fee –EGP. 10,00.
• License fee –EGP. 10,00.

Validity

• Validity for the license is one month.
