Apply In-Person:
- To apply for Non-Governmental Organization Dissolution in person, the applicant has to first contact the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration or Ministry of Social Solidarity Contact link
- The Board of directors of a NGO should carry out a meeting and take minutes on having to dissolve the organisation.
- You are then supposed to make an advertised on the local dailies informing the general public of the intended dissolution.
- Applicant should make a formal application addressed to the Executive Director seeking for consent, signed by the three registered officials of the Organization.
- Submit the application together with all the required documents to the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board offices.
- This documents include under the “Required Documents” section of this page, should be submitted to the Registrar's office. Any omission of the required information and documents will render the application process incomplete.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
- If all the above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their application.
- On Completion of this process, it will take Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board two days to acknowledge the dissolution and affect them within 90 days.

- A written application addressed to the Executive Director and signed by three top officials of the organization
- A copy of the minutes authorizing the dissolution of the organization.
- Copy of an advertisement informing the general public of the intended dissolution.
- Documentary evidence that all employees have received their terminal dues.
- Inventory of all assets of the NGO and an outline a plan for transferring the said assets to an organization with similar objectives.
- Annual Returns that the organization has been submitting.
- Original certificate of registration
- Any other information may be required by the Registrar

- The Board of directors of a NGO should carry out a meeting and take minutes on their decision to dissolve.
- Make formal application addressed to the Executive Director seeking for consent, signed by the three registered top officials of the Organization should be made.
- The application should be submitted to the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board offices together with the required documents.
- Pay the processing fees and summit the receipt to the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board offices
- Surrender the Original certificate of registration
- On Completion of this process, it will take Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board two days to acknowledge the dissolution request and the approval will be granted within 90 days.

- This application allows for a NGO to dissolve itself.
- Dissolution, or the closing of an Non-Governmental Organization might be as result of:
- Involuntary reasons (e.g., an external shutdown is required, usually initiated through the attorney general’s office.
- Voluntary reasons (e.g., mission has been achieved, a financial crisis has taken place, board and staff have exhausted their energy and ideas, or internal interpersonal disputes have overtaken an organization).

- The Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board is a State Corporation established by the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act (Cap 19) of 1990. The Board has the responsibility of regulating and enabling the NGO sector in Egypt.
- The Board is currently under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
- All NGO applications should be typed or filled in block letters.
- All applications MUST contain ORIGINAL signatures of the officials and members as applicable.
- All signatures must be originals, scanned copies will not be accepted
