Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get License or Permit for Special Fabrics, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Trade and Industry contact link
2. Refer to the “Required Documents” section of this procedure to learn more about the required documents.
3. A fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority's request.
4. Applicant must obtain the application form from the authority.
5. Please select a name for his/her company/trade/business and for the business.
6. Once the firm is registered, the applicant will get memorandum of association and director identification number. If required, please apply for the trademark registration.
7. Please register his/her website domain. Having a company name and domain name registered, please apply and obtain “GST Identification Number”.
8. Please follow our “Egypt- Register for Goods and Service Tax Identification Number (TIN)” procedure to get his/her “Goods and Service Tax Identification Number (TIN)”.
9. The next step is to get “Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card”. Please follow our “Egypt- How to Obtain a Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card” procedure to get his/her “PAN”.
10. Applicant shall also obtain the shop and establishment license.
11. Now it’s time to open a bank account for his/her business. Please open a bank account.
12. Once the above initial set of actions are complete, then it is time for the proprietor to amend Privacy Policy, Website Terms and Conditions and Website Disclaimer for their website.
13. The next step is to enroot the online payment to the bank account. To do so, one has to set up the required payment gateway for their online transaction.
14. There are many payment gateway service providers to choose from. Please go through their terms and conditions and also pick the one suitable for the business territory.
15. Once the above steps are completed, the business entity will have a business name, a website, a “GST” number, a “PAN” card, an online payment gateway-enabled bank account, and a set of rules and regulations.
16. This makes a website to start its business. Thus, an e-commerce online business can be established.
17. The processing time for this procedure is 2 months.

• Applicant should be a citizen of Egypt.
• Those who are 18 years and above are eligible to apply.
• Those who are planning to do business using Online portals/e-commerce sites are eligible to apply.
• If a company is planning to start this business, then it needs to be registered.

Validity

• The license is valid for one year, and, upon request, can be extended.
