Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Get License or Permit for Drinks Business, the applicant has to approach the General Organization for Import and Export Control (GOEIC) Contact link
2. The applicant will have to prepare an application letter as a request for the License to Drinks Business, addressed to the Director-General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.
3. The application should have an attention note to the Director of the Chemical Evaluation and Research Directorate and must have duly signed by the Superintendent Pharmacist of the company.
4. Make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
6. Attach all the required documents with the application letter, and then submit it at the any nearest Animal Health office.
7. After submission, the application and accompanying documents are subsequently reviewed and verified.
8. If the application and attached documents are found sufficient, Permit will be processed.
9. For unsatisfactory application/documentation, a Compliance Directive is issued to the applicant company.
10. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will inform through phone or email to collect it from the office of the GOEIC.
11. In the meantime, the applicant can also check with the office regarding the status of the application.
12. The processing time for this procedure is 21 days.

Eligibility

• Any company in Egypt, that intends to produce, export or import Drinks Products, can apply.
• The applying company must have a valid proof or registration.

Fees

• Application fee for this procedure is EGP1, 000.

Validity

• This document is valid for three months.

Instructions

• The letter must be accompanied by the applicant’s business license issued by the Ministry of Commerce; sanitary certificates issued by the exporting country; and animal or animal products identification.
• Refer to the “Required Documents” section of this procedure to learn more about the required documents.
• The designated authority will review the submitted application.
• If the application is approved and meets all the requirements, the applicant shall receive the certificate within the stipulated processing period. The applicant must approach the above mentioned address to collect the same.
