Procedure

Apply In person

1. To Change of Vehicle Ownership in person, the applicant has to approach theministry of interior affairs in Egypt Location link

3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
4. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
5. Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office.
8. If all the above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their applicant application.
9. After the notified period applicant gets certificate as per applicable delivery norms.
10. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
11. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 3 days.

• Signature of both seller and buyer
• National card (ID) for both buyer and seller
• TIN certificate for both buyer and seller
• Certificate of incorporation
• Certificate of business registration

Transfer for Individual

• TIN certificate for both buyers and seller
• National identification card for both buyer and seller
• Original registration book (log book)
• If the owner is deceased, then letter of administration is needed

Transfer for Companies

• Copies of certificate of incorporation
• Copies of PIN certificate for both buyer and seller
• Copy of valid insurance cover
• Original registration book (log book)
• If the owner is deceased, then letter of administration is needed

Transfer for Business

• Certificate of business registration
• TIN certificate for both the buyer and the seller
• Original registration book (log book)
• If the owner is deceased, then letter of administration is needed

The buyer of a second-hand motor vehicle is expected to apply for transfer of change of ownership to their name within 14 days of purchase.
