- To Apply for Replacement Passport (Lost or Damaged) in Egypt, the applicant has to approach theU.S. Embassy in Egypt. Contact link
- Also refer to the addresses mentioned in the “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this procedure.
- Then, the applicant must obtain the application form from U.S. Embassy office.
- Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
- Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the respective office for verification and processing.
- This application will be processed and information will be verified by the U.S. Embassy office.
- If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
- After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect theirreplacement passport.
- If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
- Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 3 months.

EligibilityEdit
- In the event that the applicant’s passport is lost or stolen, first report the theft to the local police in order to get a police report. Along with the police report, applicant will need proof of citizenship and a government issued photo ID.
FeesEdit
- 210 EGP for lost/stolen passports.
ValidityEdit
- Passport Validity for 10 years.

- Applications for missing passports must be supported with a sworn affidavit with the HIGH COURT SEAL from Ghana indicating Passport number if possible, how the passport got missing, place and date of issue as well as the bio data of the applicant.

- Please do not put your title like, AL haji, Reverend Etc.

- A passport is a document, issued by the national government. It certifies the identity and nationality of the holder for travel abroad.

- Immediately notify the home office it is BRP which has been lost, stolen or damaged. Applicant will do this on the online form on the UK government Website. Contact your embassy in London to obtain a replacement.
