ProcedureEdit

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for agriculture electricity connection in person visit ELECTRICITY BOARD OFFICE in your respective area. The applicant shall contact Revenue Accountant (RA) in the sub-divisional office to obtain an application and agreement form.
  2. The address ad contact details of the office can be found in ‘’Office and Contact Details” section of this page
  3. Visit the Office and get the Application form for Agricultural Electricity Connection from the relevant department or you can download the application form from the following link:Link
  4. The A&A form should be submitted in duplicate. Please fill the application form correctly and attach the documents asked for. Please refer “Required documents” section of this page to know the necessary documents to be submitted along with the completed application form.
  5. The application and agreement form duly filled shall be submitted to the concerened officials along with the documents of the applicant for further processing.
  6. Please pay the required amount for the process of setting new agricultural electricity connection.
  7. The application number and fee paid receipt will be given by the officials. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  8. The officials may ask for the original documents from the applicant, if required for verification.
  9. After this, the officials will proceed with the next steps to set up the new connection in your agricultural area.



Apply Online:

  1. Visit the following portal: portal.
  2. The applicant has to create an account.
  3. Choose the form “Electricity Connection” and the applicant has to start filling the form and provide required details.
  4. The Online Registration form is submitted by the applicant.
  5. Submit required fee online.
  6. Upon the successful payment the form will be submitted successfully.
  7. Now the site will be visited by a Junior Engineer.
  8. The JE will forward a recommendation and report to SDO.
  9. Upon satisfaction of the SDO, Electricity connection will be installed.



Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
  2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  4. The operator will process the application online.
  5. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
  6. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
  7. If verified, the connection will be installed in a stipulated period of time.

  • Application and Agreement form & Requisition forms, duly filled in Duplicate.
  • Security and service connection charges as per load and instructions of the Deptt.
  • Blank stamp paper of Rs.3/-, duly crossed & signed.
  • Registration with S.S.I of Chandigarh Admn.
  • Clearance from Pollution Control Board.
  • Intimation slip from contractor regarding load details.
  • Authorized signatory in case of firms.
  • Copy of G.P.A in case of power of attorney. Rent/Lease Agreement (in case of rented/ leased accomodation )
  • NOC from owner (in case of rented/ leased accomodation )
  • Affidavit for Obtaining Electric Connection (in case of Enchroched Land)
  • Tribal Council Certificate (in case of Tribal Area)
  • Quarter Allotment Order (in case of Govt. Quarter
  • Identity Proof (any one COPY of the following: Ration card, Election Identity Card, PAN card, Aadhar card, Passport or Driving license).
  • Municipal Tax receipt
  • Ownership Certificate issued by Village Administrative Officer (VAO).
  • Sketch showing the location, issued by V.A.O.
  • Chitta,Adangal
  • Patta/Sale Deed

NOTE: Kindly contact the Chief Engineer/Operation and Maintenance Officer of your nearest electricity board. Contact details of the Officers can be obtained from the above website. Please select your district and respective area officer and proceed accordingly.

EligibilityEdit

  • Any person who wishes to set up a new electricity connection in their agricultural land can apply.
  • The shareholders of the land should possess a no objection certificate sworn before the Executive Engineer/Operation and Maintenance Office of the jurisdiction concerned.
  • The certificate should be obtained after verification from the Village Administrative Officer.


FeesEdit

  • Charge differs with requirement. So, authorities will estimate and will give actual figure for getting connection
  • Please contact your nearest Electricity Board for fee details.
