- To apply for naturalization, you must fill up an application form, which can be obtained from the local police office in your area of residence or at the Immigration Service.
- Submit the form along with all other required documents and pay the fee.

EligibilityEdit
If you have a permanent residence permit and resides in Denmark, you are eligible to apply for a Danish citizenship and if you meet the following conditions:
- Foreigner, 18 years old
- You have been living permanently in Denmark over the past nine years
- You have not committed any crime of a serious nature
- You do not any outstanding debt
- You can demonstrate Danish skills and knowledge of Danish society, etc.

Citizens of the Nordic countries
- You can be naturalized after two years of continuously residing in Denmark.
Citizens of other countries
- You can be naturalized after nine years of continuously residing in Denmark.
Recognised refugees and stateless persons
- You are eligible to apply for naturalization after eight years of continuously residing in Denmark.
Married to a Danish citizen
- For those who are married to a Danish citizen, you are required to continuously reside in Denmark for six years for you to be eligible to apply for naturalization.
