Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Overflight and Landing Clearance, the applicant has to approach the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Regularly follow up with ANAC to track the progress of the application. Coordinate with them to address any additional requirements or queries they may have.
- Once the application is approved, ANAC will issue the necessary overflight and landing clearances for the flight into and within Brazil.
- This entire process can be completed in several weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

To be eligible to apply for overflight and landing clearance in Brazil, you must meet the following requirements:
- They must be the operator of an aircraft.
- The aircraft must be registered in a country that has a valid aviation agreement with Brazil.
- The aircraft must be in good airworthy condition and have a valid certificate of airworthiness.
- The aircraft must be insured for liability.
- The pilot and crew must be qualified and licensed to operate the aircraft.
