Apply In-Person
- To apply for a renewal of firearm Permit/license you should submit your completed application file to the Licensing office at the police station in the parish you are residing in. (view address details mentioned under ‘office location and contacts’ section below).
- Collect the Application for renewing arm license form, available at the service inquired desk at any police station located countrywide or use this link to download; Link
- Submit the duly completed forms, along with the relevant attachments (mentioned below under the ‘Required Documents’ section), to the licensing office, at the police station nearest to the applicant place of residence for processing, approval, and consideration, applicants will then be issued with an acknowledgment letter containing details of the application.
- On receipt of the application file, the licensing officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided, the licensing officer will then conduct due diligence and decide if to approve or deny the permit renewal request.
- If approved, the permit will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the licensing officer and made available for withdrawal by the applicant at the licensing office, where the application was lodged and upon payment of the permit fee and against applicant identification document and the acknowledgment letter.
