- All registration as a Private Health Professional is compulsory by the Department of Health Services, which is housed at the Ministry of Health and Wellness headquarter office. (Use this link to view the Ministry address detail: Link
- Upon obtaining the Registration certificates from Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC). (please refer to Wikiprocedure website for a detailed procedure on how to obtain the “BHPC registration certificate “ via this link Link and applicants should head to the Department of Health Services, Private Practice Licensing Office; Office 9A10 to register their credentials.
- Submit the supporting documents to the licensing receiving officer, who will then verify that all the necessary documentation has been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria before issuing the applicant the Private Practice Registration Forms to complete. Forms are not available online and are issued for free at the Private Practice Licensing office.
- The completed forms with the attachments should be submitted to the licensing registration office concerned with the registration process.
- The registration officer will then verify and enter the information obtained from the registration form into the Private Practice Registration database.
- Applicants will be issued a Private Practice Registration certificate containing details of their registration.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- All Private Health professionals are required to be registered with the Botswana Health Professions Council (BHPC) which is a body under the Ministry of Health and the Ministry itself.
- It is illegal to employ a health professional who is not registered with BHPC and the Ministry or who does not have a valid practicing certificate as stipulated by the Health Professions Act (Cap 61.02)
