You may walk-in to the County Probate Court where the divorce granted with as much information and appropriate fee. For fee details contact the County Probate Court.

By Mail

• You may mail the application with as much as information with check or money order to County Probate Court where the divorce was granted.

Person named on the certificate, or a parent, guardian, child or spouse of the named person are eligible to request the certified copy of divorce certificate.

Instructions

• Copies of divorce records are not available from the State Health Department. Inquiries will be referred to appropriate office.
• For certified copies of divorce records, please write to the Probate Court in the county where the divorce was granted.
• The Ohio Department of Health houses only the abstracts of couples divorced in Ohio from September 7, 1949 to the present.
• You may request your certified divorce certificate either by in person or by mail where the divorce was granted.
• For fee details contact the County Probate Court.
