Apply In-Person:
- Visit the Ministry of health Department of Finance office to make your application.
- Go to the Pre-Screen Clerk office and obtain the application form.
- Fill the form and attach the required documents for the application.
- Submit the application form for verification and processing.
- The Financial office will access your application, if you meet the requirement for support they will issue you the allowance.

Required DocumentsEdit
- Copy of identification (picture ID such as a license, passport, or voter’s registration card) for each person that includes a full name and date of birth.
- Social insurance number (for both you and your spouse or significant other)
- If you are employed, confirmation of employment and most recent pay stubs (one stub if paid monthly, two stubs if paid every other week or twice a month, and four stubs if paid weekly) to show your gross monthly income. If you are not employed, you must supply job search forms.
- If you are a student, proof of registration and verification of funding along with confirmation of your class schedule
- Birth certificate of child
- Name, address, and contact information of the child care provider or organization, as well as the amount they charge monthly.
Note: If the child has special needs or is disabled, you will also need a letter from a medical doctor, psychologist, or other qualified professional that includes the reason for child care. This professional cannot be associated with the child care service

EligibilityEdit
If you are Bermudian or are the spouse of a person who has Bermudian status, you can apply if you meet all of the following criteria:
- The child you are applying for possesses Bermudian status
- The child is between birth and four years old and has not yet started public or private pre-school education
- Your (gross) annual household income does not exceed the maximum prescribed amount.
- The proposed child day care provider is registered or licensed with the Department of Health and compliant with the Day Care Centre Regulations.
- The child lives with you and you have custody or care and control.
