How to Apply

  1. Applicant(s) should visit the Ministry of water,General Directorate of Mines office, please view {office location and contact section below} for the address details.
  2. Express your interest to the MEM receptionist/ secretariat front desk and collect all the necessary application forms and fill them accurately.
  3. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents (as listed below under required document section) to the MEM secretariat, to be registered and obtain an acknowledgment slip.
  4. Your application file will then be forwarded to the department concerned for verification and processing and then sends its recommendation to the interministerial commission for further assessment and decision making by the commission.
  5. Upon lodging the application, you will be required to make the payment and present the Receipt of Payment of the Fixed Duty to the General Directorate of Mines office within two days.
  6. Upon making the payment the interministerial commission has a period of ten (10) working days from the date of submission of the file to notify the applicant of the admissibility or otherwise of his/her request and be given further instructions.
  7. Application that are approved will be further assessed and processed by the interministerial Committee.
  8. After studying of the file and following the admissibility decision of the file by the interministerial committee, the permit will be drawn by the department in charge and issued to the applicant by the register/authorized official within 90 days against the applicant identification document and acknowledgment slip.
