  • The prints of 2 fingers, priority being given to the index fingers (as of the age of 12)
  • Your photo
  • Your signature
  • Proof of payment of passport application fee.

ProcedureEdit

  • The applicant should get a passport application form fill it in and submit it together with the required documents to the municipal administration of their place of residence or Belgian embassy in their country of origin.
  • The applicant then waits for the authorities to verify the application for the passport.

After some days the applicant will be notified whether the passport is ready for collection.

  • In order for us to capture the biometric data, anyone above the age of 6 years old is required to apply for their new passport in person .
  • Belgians officially residing in Belgium and present on Belgian territory: passports are requested from the municipal administration of their place of residence.
  • Belgians residing or traveling abroad: passports are requested from the Belgian embassy or consulate competent for the relevant country or region.
  • Belgians officially residing abroad but present on Belgian territory: passports are requested from the provincial administration competent for their last municipality of residence in Belgium.
