ProcedureEdit

  1. Obtain a copy of Form B from the Bangladesh visa issuing authority. You will need to complete the form in duplicate. Note: Do not sign the form yet, you will need to do this in the presence of the Registration Officer.
  2. Submit the completed forms to the Registration Officer of the port or place of arrival. This must be done within 7 days of your arrival. The Registration Officer may ask you to present documents that will support the information you have provided on the form.
  3. The Registration Officer or the authority to whom the Registration report is presented will issue to the foreigner a temporary Certificate of Registration in Form C and you must thereafter comply with the conditions set out in that Form.

  • Two passport type photographs of the applicant
  • Treasury Deposit (Challan) slip of late registration fees (if applicable), there is no fee charged for registration. However, a late fee is charged for late registration.

EligibilityEdit

Foreigners having visas for a period exceeding 90 days except the exempted categories are required to register with the Immigration office. Registration should be done within 7 days of arrival, every foreigner entering Bangladesh shall present in person to the appropriate Registration Officer and report in form B (referred to as a registration report) of his arrival in Bangladesh.

One may wish not to register if she/he departs within 7 days of arrival. However on the basis of principle of reciprocal the citizens of India and Pakistan have different pre-requisites for registration.

The following persons will be EXEMPTED from registration:

  1. Diplomatic passport holders, their spouse and children, servants and dependents,
  2. Non-diplomatic staff of Foreign mission,
  3. Government officials,
  4. Children under age of 16 years old



FeesEdit

There is no fee charged for registration. However, a late fee is charged for late registration.

A late fee is required for being late for more than 7 days.

Late registration of foreign nationals:

(i) Taka 2000/- (Two thousand) after expiry of 7 days on arrival
(ii) Taka 5000/- (Five thousand) after expiry of 15 days on arrival


The late fee needs to be deposited at Bangladesh bank or Sonali Bank, in reference to deposit Code 1-2275-0000-2681. A copy of the treasury Challan (deposit slip) must be submitted with the registration form to the concerned officer.

InstructionsEdit

Registration report is written in English and in duplicate. The report contains the true statement of the foreigners intended address in Bangladesh and of all the other particulars specified in Form B and affixed to it is a photograph of the foreigner, over stamped with the stamp of the Registration Officer on both parts of the report.
