- To Obtain Compensation for Acquired Property, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of land link
- The applicant has to visit the office with the required documents.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. (if required)
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The government authorities will verify the claim and may conduct a physical inspection of the property. They may also request additional documents or information.
- Once the claim is verified, the government authorities will make an offer of compensation to the property owner.
- The property owner can negotiate the amount of compensation if they are not satisfied with the initial offer.
- If the property owner agrees to the compensation offer, they will need to sign a compensation agreement with the government authorities.
- After the compensation agreement is signed, the government authorities will make the payment to the property owner either in cash or government bonds, as per the agreement.
- This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
