Procedure

Apply Online:

1. To Apply for Electric Connection, the applicant has to approach Dhaka Electric Supply Company link
2. The applicant has to enter the details and click the “Save” button.
3. Also, upload all the necessary documents, which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Once completed, the applicant has to “Save” button.
5. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
6. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
7. The officer will come for site inspection, to give the connection and to complete further process.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
9. This entire process can be completed within 2 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Residential / Domestic Category up to 49KW

• Signed copy of the application form
• 2 copies attested recent Passport size color photo
• Attested copy of the registered deed of ownership / Occupancy
• A wiring certificate and load assessment are required in the prescribed form. download
• Mutation document for Land
• Attested copy of RAJUK/ City corporation approved building plan
• Attested copy of document regarding holding no. issued by City Corp./ competent authority.

Customers of load 50KW and above load

• Signed copy of the application form
• 2 copies attested recent Passport size color photo
• Attested copy of the registered deed of ownership / Occupancy
• Mutation document for Land
• Attested copy of RAJUK/ City corporation approved building plan
• Attested copy of document regarding holding no. issued by City Corp./ competent authority.
• Sub-Station layout plan and Single line diagram
• Agreement for use of Meter Room by DESCO
• Specifications, Test results of Transformer, switch-gear and other equipment
• License from Chief Electrical Inspector of GOB

Commercial Customers up to 49KW load

• Signed copy of the application form
• 2 copies attested recent Passport size color photo
• Authorization letter from partners (for Joint-Venture)
• Attested copy of the registered deed of ownership / Occupancy
• A wiring certificate and load assessment are required in the prescribed form. download
• Mutation document for Land
• Attested copy of RAJUK/ City corporation approved building plan
• Attested copy of document regarding holding no. issued by City Corp./ competent authority.

Small Industries Customer up to 49 KW load

• Signed copy of the application form
• 2 copies attested recent Passport size color photo
• Authorization letter from partners for Joint-Venture
• Attested copy of the registered deed of ownership / Occupancy
• A wiring certificate and load assessment are required in the prescribed form. download
• Mutation document for Land
• Attested copy of RAJUK/ City corporation approved building plan

• Clearance from Fire Service (If applicable)
