Procedure

Apply In Person:

1. To Apply for an Education Allowance (for Children of War Wounded and Dead War Wounded Freedom Fighters), the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. There is no fee for the allowance.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
10. Then the application will be processed further.
11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
12. For further process, the applicant has to follow the instruction given by the officer.
13. This entire process can be completed within 2- 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for Education Allowance for Children of War Wounded and Dead War Wounded Freedom Fighters in Bangladesh, you must meet the following criteria:

• Parents or guardians must be a war-wounded freedom fighter or dead war-wounded freedom fighter who was listed in the gazette notification of the Bangladesh Government.
• The applicant must be the child of the war-wounded or dead war-wounded freedom fighter.
• The applicant must be studying in an educational institution recognized by the government of Bangladesh.
• The applicant must not be receiving any other educational scholarship or stipend from the government or any other organization.
• The applicant must be a citizen of Bangladesh and have a valid national identity card.
• The applicant must meet any additional eligibility criteria specified by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs or the local Deputy Commissioner's office.

Fees

• There is no fee for the allowance.
