Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply FSSAI license for Food Transporter, you have to approach the Commissioner of Food Safety / Officer-In-Charge for Food Safety.

3. You can download the application Form-B from the following link: Form B.
4. Please make sure you are eligible to make the application by going through the eligibility criteria provided under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
5. First download the Form-B from the link and fill all the required information and you need to submit the form to the Commissioner of Food safety department. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
6. Please complete the application form and make sure you have all the documents that are listed under “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. Pay the appropriate fees and submit the form to the Officer-In-Charge in the Food Safety department.
8. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
9. Authorities will inspect the facilities that are related to the Food Transporter and if they are satisfied with the standards followed the authorities will provide the franchise Permission.
10. The applicant will be later requested to collect the FSSAI License for Food Transporter on a specified date.

Apply Online:

1. To Apply FSSAI License for Food Transporter through online, you can use the FOSCOS website. Please click the following link : FOSCOS Website
2. Click the “Login-Businesses” tab and Under User sign-in Box enter your Application Ref. No./License No./Certificate No. and Click on the “Proceed” button to login.
3. If you are a new user, then Click on the "Do you want to apply for New License/Registration" and click on the "Apply for License/Registration" tab in the new page.
4. Next select the state from the dropdown list box and read the Note.
5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of your business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
6. On the next page, Click on the “Click here to apply Central License for all Businesses”.
7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required informations under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
8. On the Production selection page, Select the category of food you are going to handle by clicking on the drop-down menu “Food Product Category” and click “Save & Add” option and then fill all the details for DGFT Authentication and Click on the “Proceed with DGFT validation” to authenticate the details.
9. Next Click on the “Save” Button to save the authenticated details. After Successfully Proceeding with DGFT validation, Click on the “Save & Next” Button.
10. Next fill all the Communication details and Click on the “Save & Next” Button.
11. Under required documents section upload all the relevant documents and Click on the “Save & Next” Button.
12. Next pay the fees and submit the application.
13. After Successful Completing the payment, a receipt will be generated with a 17-digit reference number make a print of it and keep it safe for future reference.
14. You can track the application through the Home page.
15. This application will be processed by them and they will notify you through your e-mail or by SMS.

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
5. Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
6. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
7. The operator will process the application online.
8. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
9. This application will be processed internally. The concerned authorities will check the premises and quality of the products and services.
10. Once the verification is over, the issue of the license to the applicant will be final.
11. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
12. If approved, the license will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued in a stipulated period of time.

Apply through mobile app:

1. The applicant willing to Apply FSSAI License must download the ‘’Food Safety Connect’’ mobile app.
2. The applicant can download the app from play store using the following Link: link
3. Once downloaded, the applicant must click the button “Apply for license” in the main page.
4. Then the applicant has to select their respective state from the dropdown menu where premises is located for which License/Registration will be obtained.
5. Next select the type of Business, Now Select the annual turnover of the business. After that Click on the “Proceed” tab.
6. On the next page, click on the “Click here to apply Central License for all Businesses”.
7. Next Form-B page will be displayed, fill all the required information under premises details section and Click on the “Save & Next” tab.
