Apply In-Person
- To obtain a Property Possession Certificate in Bihar the applicant has to approach the nearest Anchaladhikari office or Right to Public Service (RTPS) office in your area.

- The applicant should get the application form from the Concerned Department Authorities.
- Fill the application with the Required details.
- Now attach the required documents mentioned and submit the application to the concerned Officer in the department.
- Once the documents are submitted you will be provided with an acknowledgement, please keep it safe for future reference.
- It may take 10 to 15days to process the application form.
- After processing your request, field verification will be done by the RDO or tahsildar or respective authorities.
- They notify you through e-mail or by SMS to collect the Property Possession Certificate when it’s ready.
- They will ask you to sign in a register for the collection of Property Possession Certificate.
Apply Online:
- Visit the following website: online portal.
- The applicant has to log on to the official website and click on “Apply Online”.
- Click on “I Agree” after reading the content.
- The applicant has to provide their mobile number and then click on “next”.
- The applicant has to enter the verification code that has been sent to the registered mobile number.
- The applicant has to click on “I Agree”to submit the form.
- The applicant will be receiving a unique application ID to track the status of the application.
- To check the status of the application, the applicant has to log in to the official website.
- The applicant has to click on click on the “Application Status” option.
- Upon entering Application ID, if the applicant clicks “Know Your Status”, a new page opens where the Unique Application number has to be entered. Once entered, the applicant knows the application status.
- An alternate way to track status is, the applicant can type a text message in the given below format:RTPS <Application ID> and this has to be sent to 56677.
- The applicant has to personally present along with Government Identity proof to receive the certificate to the nearest office of the Collector / Tahsildar / BDO / Circle officer of the revenue department as appropriate.
Apply through Centres:
- To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
- Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary information in the application form.
- Submit the application form with ”Required Documents” to the office.
- It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
- The operator will process the application online.
- On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
- This application will be processed internally. Once the verification is over, these officials will submit their report to the respective superior authority to decide the issue of the Certificate to the applicant.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
- If approved, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying or issued in a stipulated period of time.
