ProcedureEdit

The applicant should begin with the application for admission in university.

  • Then wait for an offer letter to be sent, based on which you need to complete the Electronic Confirmation of Enrollment (eCoE) process.
  • After receiving the eCoE from the educational provider, the applicant goes on to apply for the student visa
  • The applicant then lodges the application electronically by visiting the official Australian visa website http://www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/students.htm.
  • The applicant has to fulfill the criteria of issuing student visa such as, financial ability, proficiency of English language intention to comply visa conditions.
  • The application will be assessed against one of the 5 Assessment Levels for each visa sub-class.
  • The applicant then pays the visa fee either by credit card or by Bpay method
  • It takes 7 days to process the payment.
  • Through Online application you can automatically get the bridging visa, which enable you to stay in Australia and study while your application is being processed.
  • Within 7 working days after lodging your application online, you will be receiving a decision of approving your application.
  • If there is any incomplete documentation, you will be first receiving an e-mail or a letter advising to forward the further documentation you may be required to lodge the application.

  3. Confirmation of Enrolment Form (COE) this will be issued by the host university once the #Application has been accepted.
  4. Acceptance letter from your host university, this will include the proposed study plan.
  5. Letter (from your current institution confirming status as a Study Abroad Student)
  6. Overseas health insurance receipt (issued when OSHC has been paid).
  7. Passport
  8. 2 passport sized photographs.

  • To obtain a visa to study in Australia you must be fully enrolled in an Australian institution and receive a Confirmation of Enrollment (COE).
  • These forms are issued by the Australian institution you will be attending. The forms are usually issued after the tuition fees have been received.
  • All students intending to apply for a student visa should check the Assessment Level and requirements that will apply to their application on the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.
  • The student visa is approved only if combined with an accredited course provided by some Australias schools.
  • Visa is associated to the confirmation of enrollment (COE = Confirmation Of Enrolment), which identifies starting and ending date of the course.
  • You can combine multiple courses within the same visa, such as a language course and a vocational course.
  • The minimum duration of a related visa course is 12 weeks, maximum is 50 weeks.
