- To transfer an out-of-state license to a New Hampshire license visit any DMV offices with the following:
- Your current, valid out-of-state driver license.
- A second form of identification from the list of Required Documentation
- Proof of New Hampshire residency from the list of Required Documentation. Proof of residency cannot be older than 60 days.
- An application for a Driver License
- Pass the vision test.
- Pay your license fee
- Take the picture

You must get a New Hampshire driver license within 60 days of establishing residency in New Hampshire, if you are from another state.
If you are at least 18 years old, you can transfer an out-of-state license to a New Hampshire license without taking a written or road test by going to any DMV office with the required documents and fee.
You must pass a vision test to qualify for a license. Once you have met all the requirements, you will pay your license fee and have your picture taken. The DMV will give you a 60-day, temporary paper license. Your permanent driver license will be mailed to your New Hampshire mailing address within 60 days. If you are under 21 years old, you will be issued a Youth Operator license which will expire on your 21st birthday.
