Procedure

• Holders of a work visa for Angola are entitled to stay in the country for up to 12 months (this can be extended twice) and are allowed multiple entries into Angola.
• The employee is to engage solely in the professional activity for which the visa was issued, and is only allowed to work for the employer who requested the visa.
• It's important to note that a work visa for Angola does not allow the holder to establish residence in Angola.
• Expats wishing to set up residence in the country need to apply for a residence permit for Angola.
• The hiring company usually acts as the sponsor of the visa and makes all the necessary arrangements for the visa application. Its also the responsibility of the employer who requested the visa to notify the appropriate authority of any change in the duration of the contract.

Family or dependents of the employee need to apply for a temporary stay visa if accompanying the holder of the work visa.

Required Documents

• Completed and signed application form
• Passport valid for more than 12 months, and it must have two empty pages
• Letter of invitation from an Angolan registered company containing the name of the applicant, nationality, their passport number and date of expiry, their profession and function they will perform
• Three photocopies of the pages of the passport containing information on the applicant's previous visas and entry into Angola, as well as other visas
• Three colour passport-sized photographs
• Criminal record (translated into Portuguese and authenticated by a public notary)
• Certificate of good health issued by the official health institution from the country of residence and international certificate of **vaccinations (translated into Portuguese and authenticated by a public notary)
• A declaration (in Portuguese) by the applicant to abide by the laws of Angola
• Contract of employment in Portuguese issued by the company registered to operate in Angola
• Certificate of professional or academic qualifications (translated into Portuguese and authenticated by a public notary)
• Curriculum vitae of the applicant (translated into Portuguese and authenticated by a public notary)
• Two copies of the companys charter and constitution
• Two copies of recent tax revenue of company in case of institutions or private companies

Eligibility

• Any foreigner wishing to work in Egypt must obtain a work Permit.
• You will need to get a security clearance from the Government Security Agency in Angola.
• You will also need to provide proof of a clean bill of health.This includes undergoing an HIV test.

Fees charges goes to $100

Validity

It is valid for a year, after which you will have to renew it only two consecutive years . Most employers will take care of renewing this process.

Instructions

• A person can acquire the work permit application form from the Ministry of Public Administration ,Labour and social Security.
• For those workers who might not be in Angola, their employer will obtain the form for them.
• All applicants will have to provide numerous documents to support their application.

Required Information

• Scanned copy of your passport's bio data page (the page with your photo).
• Your profession.
• Estimated date of arrival.
• Payment proof.

Need for the Document

Once you get a job offer from a company in Angola usually you will need to obtain the work permit. Work permits in Angola don't give you any flexibility to move jobs within the country. You will need to stay to one job of a single employer and if there is any changes on the Job the authorities will there are any changes to your contract the company will inform the Authorities. Work permits for Angola are granted to those who obtain a contract of temporary employment with the Angolan state or on behalf of an Angolan company.
