Death records are confidential in the State of Nevada and may only be released to a qualified applicant. A qualified applicant is defined as the registrant or a direct family member by blood or marriage, his or her guardian, or his or her legal representative.

The Nevada Division of Vital Records (Nevada Vital Records) issues certified copies of Nevada death certificates, for events which occurred within the State of Nevada.
Death Certificates are available for events that occurred within the State of Nevada from July 1, 1911 to present.
You may order the certified copies by mail or online (VitalChek)
$10.00 Search/Verification of a record (search/verifications do not include a certified copy. Choose this option if you are only wanting verification that the record is on file with Nevada Office of Vital Records)
