Procedure

• Obtain duplicate or renewal driver license application form from any Drivers License Officer or Driver and Vehicle Services Exam Station.
• Complete an application at the renewal office
• Submit the required documents (Minnesota driver license, Social Security number (SSN), etc.)
• Pay the payment either by personal check or cash only.

Instructions

• If your address has changed, you may apply for a new license at any Drivers License Office.
• To change the address on your license you will need to obtain a duplicate or renewal license. A duplicate or renewal license can be obtained at any Drivers License Office or Driver and Vehicle Services Exam Station.
• For a duplicate license, the driver's license photo on file is used to verify identity. If identify cannot be verified or there has been a name change since the last application, additional identification is needed.
